“Ad-Mad” event Venkateswara College, New Delhi – Cheistha Kochar. Ad-Mad is one of the most attractive events for students, they’re given a theme and required to enact an advertisement video within a given specific time. It invites varied participation from students across courses; it was decided to a medium of communication with the students by the LYF club. This was more or less the club’s launch event on a public level. The event saw participation from 10 teams of 3 members each and an audience of approximately 50-60 people. It was also attended by the HOD of Political Science Department. Few of the themes given for Ad mad were broadly as follows, which showcased interesting viewpoints from participants. If teachers were evaluated Mobiles- Medium of communication or distraction Campus politics- dirtier than nation’s politics Placing attendance as a criterion for marks- the negative implications on students and teachers Setting up a grievance redressal mechanism in college The archaic top-bottom approach in campuses- the implications The videos and pictures of the same were delivered to the principal for her perusal, along with highlights of the events. It generated enough mileage for the club, and hence also for the Grievance portal.
